Hospitality

Residential and Day Spaces

Are you ready for some space or time away from the hurly burly of life?

Are you in need of a retreat?

Do you need space to concentrate on an  important task?

The Community of the Holy Name can offer hospitality for all who need space to take a breath and rest in God’s presence.

Day Spaces

In our house in Hessle, East Yorkshire, the Community has two small day rooms available for individual guests, and a larger upstairs room which can accommodate up to 7 people. Groups can also make use of the two smaller rooms as breakout spaces.

All come with tea and coffee making facilities. A midday meal is available (this needs to be pre-booked).

All our rooms are accessible and there is an accessible toilet.

The garden is open for the use of guests and guests are welcome to join the sisters for Midday Office and the Eucharist.

We do not charge for use of our facilities but ask that a donation is made to help us cover our costs.

Individual Day Guests

Suggested Donation for an individual day guest is £10 without a meal and £15 with a meal

Groups

We ask a £15 non-refundable booking fee and suggest a donation of £5 (or £8 with meal included) per person attending.

Residential Spaces

There are two single rooms available in our guest accommodation in the Lodge.  The Lodge has a kitchen, sitting room area and a shared toilet/shower room. Guests eat breakfast in the lodge and lunch and supper with the sisters.

Situated very near to the main building, the Lodge offers the best of both worlds, with space to relax and have time alone but also near enough to join in with the sisters as much or as little as you like.

We do not charge for staying with us but a suggested donation of £35 for a 24 hour period be made to help cover our costs.
